2012 is going to be the beginning of a very busy time here at Mueller Austin – 221 new homes, the HEB grocery store, Austin Children’s Museum, Austin Playhouse, AISD Performing Arts Center, the Pecan Street Demonstration Home and now, a hotel – the Residence Inn by Marriott – will all be breaking ground in the coming months.
The Residence Inn is an extended-stay hotel that will be located at the corner of Lancaster Drive & 51st Street. With studio, one- & two-bedroom suites, equipped with a full kitchen, the hotel will be a particularly great asset to families with children just down the street at the Dell Children’s Hospital.
As if that’s not exciting enough, the hotel will also have ground-floor retail to serve not only hotel guests but the greater community, as well. It really is inspiring watching the promise of a community come to fruition.
