So, we’ve all heard by now that about the Shop Houses, Live/Work units that are coming to Mueller Austin in the upcoming phase. Homes by Avi is the developer of this new product. Since that announcement, I’ve had quite a few inquiries from folks asking for more details. I’ve managed to find out a few additional pieces of information – of course, everything is subject to change!
- Approximately 2000 square feet
- 3 beds/2 baths
- 700 square feet of street-level commercial space
- 2-car garage, detached from commercial space however some residential space will be built over top of the garage
- Hoping to break ground in summer 2012 – just like we’re hearing from the other builders
- No details on pricing until floor plans are finalized
Dirt is being moved at a voracious pace for the 221 new homes that will make up Section 6 at the Old Airport Redevelopment so, fingers crossed that everything stays on schedule for summer sales.
Here’s a recap of what you can expect for the next phase of homes for sale at Mueller Austin:
- 30 Yard Homes – builders are Standard Pacific & David Weekely
- 42 Garden Homes – builder is David Weekley (they just completed their first 49 garden homes between Berkman & Tom Miller)
- 76 Row Homes – builders are Streetman & David Weekley who both have experience building Row Homes at Mueller
- 24 Mueller House Condos – by Standard Pacific who is currently completing their first 10 buildings (of 4 units each)
- 35 Courtyard Row Homes (new) – by Streetman Homes
- 14 Shop Houses (new) – Homes by Avi
